Vision and Mission

The vision and mission of this church is for its members to obey the great commission of Christ, which is to go and teach everyone God’s love and commandments. We are to make disciples of both men and woman and further equip them to be disciple makers.

We seek to accomplish this by making disciples of leaders who would then start Discovery Groups in their homes, that others would discover the joy of trusting, loving and following Jesus. On Sundays, we would all gather together to celebrate Christ.

• We are a Christian Bible teaching church committed to Jesus Christ as Lord, and the scriptures as the finite authoritative Word of God. Our goal is to reach sinners with the gospel of Christ and accurately teach Christians both the meaning of the Bible, and how to apply it in their lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. We would accomplish this through the training and teaching in the area of Discipleship; the equipping and training of individuals for kingdom work, and the duplication of themselves; learning how to become disciple makers.
• We are called to the restoration and uniting of families to the place of wholeness. We are a church where we help believers discover and learn what their gifts and talents are, to understand where and how they fit in the kingdom of God, and how their gifts and talents can be used in the local body of Christ, to the uplifting of the Kingdom of God. We endeavor to nurture and mature those gifts and talents by encouraging active involvement within our established ministry.
• We are a ministry who believes in radical praise and worship. We are a church where you can come and feel free to sing, dance and rejoice in our Savior, a church with the understanding that an atmosphere of true worship must be created that is conducive for the presence of God.

Senior Pastor, Rev. Clive C. Joe & Lady Cynthia Joe

In the year of 2005, on Father’s Day, walking in obedience Pastor Sherwood Wilson, appointed Clive C. Joe as Pastor over Faith Works Christian Center in Gastonia, North Carolina.   Clive was born in the island of Trinidad, West Indies. He was a Roman Catholic until he was saved at the age of 14 in the Pilgrim Holiness Church, which is now known as the Weslyan Holiness Church. He was called to preach at the age of 15. In that church he began his ministry as the Youth Director. At the age of 17 he went to Bible College in Barbados, West Indies. After college he migrated to New York.
